The REX120D deck cleaning kit is the solution for restoring your wooden deck to its original luster without water or chemicals. Forget about high-pressure cleaning, which damages the wood, or the effort of manual scrubbing: this kit allows you to strip, clean, and restore your deck quickly.
This kit has been designed to effectively treat wooden blades, whether they are made of softwood (soft) or exotic wood (hard), ensuring thorough cleaning and perfect degreasing.
Stripping and cleaning (roughing):
For exotic (hard) woods, the original brush with flexible brass bristles (110885) supplied with the REX120D renovator is ideal for cleaning and deep cleaning hard woods used for decking (oak, exotic woods).
To strip stubborn dirt and stains and remove gray fibers from the wood (degreying), start with the green nylon bristle brush, 36 grit (110915). This coarse grit is suitable for roughing on hard surfaces.
On softer or less dirty wood, you can use the 80-grit lamella brush (110868) for effective and less aggressive cleaning.
Preparation and smoothing (finishing):
After intensive cleaning, use the 120-grit synthetic fiber brush (110873). This fine grit smooths flat surfaces and removes any remaining impurities, ideally preparing the wood for the application of a saturator or protective oil.
Easy work (accessory):
The folding pole (110918) is an essential accessory for this kit. It allows you to work standing up on large surfaces without straining your back or bending over, making stripping your deck quicker and less tiring.
Yes. Degreasing is a form of deep cleaning. Using coarse-grained brushes (such as the 110915) removes gray wood fibers that have been damaged by UV rays and moisture, revealing the wood's original color.
Yes. The kit offers a range of brushes (grit 36 to grit 120) to suit the hardness of the wood. The synthetic fiber brushes are gentle on pine and softwoods, while the more abrasive brushes are effective on hardwoods such as oak or exotic woods.
The REX120D gray deck renovator kit is primarily designed for wood, but its brushes can help clean joints on other surfaces. However, for stripping, its main use is on wood. If you want to strip a concrete or tile deck, you can choose other brushes from our range.
