The REX120D pallet wood renovator kit is the ideal tool for quickly and effortlessly transforming your raw pallet wood into smooth, clean raw material for your DIY (Do It Yourself) projects. It cleans old wood, improves its appearance, and sands it down.
This kit is specially assembled to clean, sand, and smooth pallet wood, which is often dry, rough, and potentially dirty.
Initial cleaning and stripping:
To clean encrusted dirt and grime from wood, start with the dual-material brush (110863). It combines the effectiveness of gentle stripping and deep cleaning to prepare the surface.
To strip paint residue or smooth a very rough surface, use the 80-grit lamella brush (110868).
Smoothing and preparation (fine sanding):
To finish sanding and improve the appearance of the wood, use the 120-grit synthetic fiber brush (110873). This very fine grit is perfect for achieving a smooth surface that is ready to be painted or treated.
The narrow 80-grit strip brush (110897) is essential for reaching the inner edges of slats and corners without dismantling the entire pallet, ensuring uniform sanding.
The REX120D renovator sands wood by brushing. Use the lamella brushes (80 grit) and dual-material brushes for stripping, then finish with the synthetic fiber brush (120 grit) for a perfect finish.
Pallet wood is not always treated. After cleaning with REX120D renovator, you must apply a suitable treatment (saturator, wood stain, or paint) to protect the wood from moisture and rot, especially if you are using it outdoors.
